The Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance (JOFA), like most leftist entities, cannot compete with the logic, facts and evidence brought by an ideological challenger [regarding Rabbi Steven Pruzansky’s blog on rapes on campus, in a JTA story posted on The Jewish Week website]. So of course they resort to the usual weaponry of the left: ad hominem attacks, calling for the “offender’s” professional destruction, and begging for condemnation from like-minded entities with a similar agenda. Nothing new there.
Rabbi Pruzansky has raised questions that are legitimate, not offensive, and makes crystal clear his abhorrence of real rape. His suggestion of greater adherence to abstinence is of course too “radical” and JOFA terms it a Chillul Hashem [a desecration of God’s name] when it is clear he is performing a Kiddush Hashem [blessing].
