Joshua Mitnick’s acidic page one article (“New ‘Schisms’ On Jerusalem Day,” June 10) is in complete variance to what we witnessed at the Jerusalem Day flag march in and around the Old City. We saw thousands of proud, enthusiastic Israelis — teens, schoolchildren, families — focused on the miracle of a reunified Jerusalem. We did not witness any harassment of Arabs.
For several evenings a week before that, we shared with thousands of Israelis, Arabs and foreign tourists the wondrous Festival of Light, now an annual event, in the Old City. We all know Israeli-Arab relations are far from perfect, but Mr. Mitnick’s negative reportage misses the big picture.
