I was always intrigued by progressives who quote Maimonides to prove progressive positions. Based on today’s progressive agenda, would he not be considered a homophobe for rejecting gay marriage? Would he not be considered a misogynist for rejecting egalitarianism?
Or, maybe progressives believe that were Maimonides alive in our times, he would be pro-gay rights, pro-choice and supportive of egalitarianism.
Can you have it both ways?
