I think that on balance neither Keith Ellison nor Stephen Bannon deserves a pass (“Battle Over Ellison Heats Up,” Dec. 9). The issues are too critical for us to extend the benefit of the doubt to people with questionable records on anti-Semitism and on basic U.S. support for Israel.
And so, it boggles the mind to see Jewish Trump supporters give a pass to Bannon, ignoring his cozying up to the alt-right neo-Nazis, and some Jewish Democrats giving a pass to Ellison, ignoring the large part of his record that is openly hostile to Israel.
