Regarding Joshua Hammerman’s Opinion piece, “Right Boycott, Wrong Country” (March 9) and Eva Zimmerman’s letter (March 23): The Polish government apologizes for the mass murder committed against the Jews of Jedwabne, but they keep silent about Wizna, Graiewo and Suluwaki. Was any Pole accused, arrested or tried and convicted for these atrocities? No. Did Poland return or compensate for properties stolen from the victims? No. Very conveniently, the Polish communities don’t have any records before 1947.

Poland is country of murders. I know because I was born and raised in Rutki, about three miles from Wizna. My cousins lived there and died there.
