JERUSALEM — A Jewish-Israeli teenager was stabbed in the neck and hand near her eastern Jerusalem home.
The victim, 15, told police that she was waiting at a bus stop in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood when she was attacked by a man that she did not know. She reportedly described the assailant as Arab. The attacker fled the scene.
The girl called an ambulance from inside her family’s apartment and was treated there by emergency rescue services before being taken to the hospital for further treatment. Police are investigating the incident.
The Armon Hanatziv neighborhood, also known as East Talpiot, is located on the seam between western and eastern Jerusalem, and has been the site of several Arab stabbing and car-ramming attacks in recent years.
