Remembering Polner

Gary Rosenblatt’s appreciation/eulogy of Murray Polner was most appropriate (“A Feisty, Brilliant Editor,” June 7).

Among Mr. Polner’s many books was “Rabbi: The American Experience,” which appeared in 1977. In the book, he describes — largely sympathetically — the work of a number of congregational rabbis of different denominations in different parts of the country.

By good fortune, I was the subject of one of the chapters: “Radical? No, Only a Conservative.”

May his memory bring blessing to all of us.
