As part of our series of special reports on “Pittsburgh: One Year Later” we spoke to Jonathan Mayo, a Squirrel Hill resident and leader of Bend The Arc’s Pittsburgh chapter, on how the shooting impacted him. He hopes it encourages people in the Jewish community to unite with other communities targeted by hate. “I’m hopeful that, if nothing else, this will make more people turn outward rather than inward,” he said.
