JERUSALEM (JTA) — A Palestinian attacker was shot dead by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank, the Israel Defense Forces said.
“Moments ago, IDF forces thwarted attempted stabbing attack at Gush Etzion junction by Palestinian armed with knife. Assailant shot at scene,” the Israel Defense Forces tweeted on Thursday evening.
The alleged attacker was killed from the gunshot, the Palestinian news agency Maan reported.
There were no Israeli injuries reported in the attack.
At least half a dozen attacks by Palestinians have occurred at the same junction in recent weeks as part of a spate of attacks across Israel.
