Dayenu! Enough kvetching about younger progressive Reform Jews being disillusioned with Israel. According to a recent Pew report, the non-Orthodox streams now have a 70 percent intermarriage rate. If a majority doesn’t care about marrying a Jewish spouse, on what basis does anyone assume that there is a concern about having a Jewish state?
Enough also of the buzz words (which are little more than slogans) such as “occupation” — check out the Palestinian Authority website — all of Israel (including Tel Aviv and Haifa) is “occupied” and that has been the consistent position since 1948, 19 years before the current “occupation” began.
Hopefully, all of this will change one day, but until that happens, complaining is not going to achieve anything.
