Gil Troy cannot have it both ways on President Obama (“A Post-Election Letter To American Jews,” Feb. 3).
On the one hand, he characterizes Obama’s treatment of Israel as prickly, but not “anti-Israel, anti-Zionist nor anti-Semitic.”
On the other hand, Troy describes Obama’s “fanaticism,” promoting “Two Big Lies” (sounds to me like the Nazis). He effectively accuses Obama of excusing the Palestinian murder of Jews, instead blaming Israel for the lack of peace. And he accuses Obama of helping to criminalize Jewish worship at the Western Wall … and denying Israel defensible borders (i.e. any presence over the Green Line).
Sorry, Gil, but Obama cannot be an anti-Israel fanatic and not be anti-Israel and anti-Semitic.
