For those who aren’t able to leave the house for High Holy Day services, there are several ways you can have the services come to you.
If you have Direct TV or Cablevision, you can watch the services at Manhattan’s Central Synagogue live on JBS (Jewish Broadcasting Service) channel. The Upper East Side Reform synagogue’s services will be telecast beginning at 9:30 a.m. on both days of Rosh HaShanah and beginning at 10:45 a.m. on Yom Kippur, evening services will also be carried and some of the services will be rebroadcast during the day. A complete schedule is at their website, where you can also live-stream the channel.
Other area synagogues will also be live streaming their services including Temple Beth Emeth v’Ohr Progressive Shaari Zedek, a reform synagogue in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. Morning services begin at 10 a.m. and evening services at 7:30 p.m. Watch the services here and find a complete schedule of services here.
