I was surprised that your editorial, “Standing Up To Ideological Bullies” (Sept. 9) ignored relevant points in a published letter, such as the assertion and widespread belief that Gary Rosenblatt was wrong in stating that Rabbi Blumofe’s visit to Arafat’s grave is an issue over which we can “disagree.”
Is there a hidden message here that such an obscene visit could help advance a two-state solution, even with the insult to Arafat’s Israeli murder victims and an Israeli government that currently finds a two-state solution dangerous? Or is the two-state solution mainly for the benefit of many American Jews and their leaders who are increasingly uncomfortable with the drumbeat of “Israel as oppressor” images, and who are unwilling to unmask the anti-Israel propaganda masquerading as news and U.S. governmental policies?
