NEW YORK (JTA) — Ivanka Trump’s husband and other Jewish real estate developers reportedly are in talks to purchase the Jehovah’s Witnesses world headquarters in Brooklyn.

The 733,000-square-foot building in the trendy Dumbo section of the New York City borough is being sold to Jared Kushner along with a German Jew, Aby Rosen, and the real estate company LIVWRK for approximately $700 million, the New York Post reported Wednesday.

In addition to being married to Republican front-runner Donald Trump’s daughter, who converted to Judaism, the 35-year-old Kushner is the scion of a philanthropy-minded Jewish family from New Jersey and the owner and publisher of the New York Observer.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses building’s large “Watchtower” sign on its roof is something of a New York landmark, visible from the Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

The evangelical Christian group is relocating its operations 60 miles north to Warwick, New York.
