JERUSALEM (JTA) — Three Israeli Border Police officers were injured in a car-ramming attack in the West Bank near Hebron.
The attack at the Beit Anoun Junction on Sunday injured one officer seriously and two lightly. Other officers opened fire on the moving vehicle after the attack. Israeli military and police forces searched the area for the driver, who later turned hismelf in, according to the Israel Police.
Earlier Sunday, a Palestinian man was shot and killed at the same junction after he attempted to stab officers there, the Israel Defense Forces said. The attack occurred during what the IDF said was a “violent riot” in Hebron.
