Gideon Taylor thinks that “immigration is a Jewish issue” and that “Jewish values call upon us to welcome the stranger” (Why Immigration Is A Jewish Issue,” Opinion, Oct. 10).
Does he agree with so many politicians who want to give those who illegally entered this country full amnesty? Or the right to vote where they now live? Should those that cut the line to get in front of others waiting to come to our country be rewarded?
Shouldn’t there be an orderly process to deal with those illegal immigrants now here, to make those that want to become citizens have to “become Americans” by learning our history and our language, and shouldn’t only American citizens be allowed to vote here?
This is not a Jewish issue. This is everyone’s issue.
