JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli-Arab suspected of being associated with ISIS was arrested and questioned.
On Monday, Israeli police searching the home of the 24-year-old teacher, a resident of Kfar Kara in the Wadi Ara region of central Israel, turned up an ISIS flag and material about jihad, The Jerusalem Post reported. Police seized the man’s computers and other electronic devices.
The man during questioning by police reportedly admitted to bringing the materials to Israel from Jordan.
Israel named ISIS an illegal organization earlier this month and made it illegal to associate with the organization or to meet with its members.
