The gazillions of Twitter users who tuned in last night for the Syfy original movie “Sharknado” were in good company. Or at least that’s what Mia Farrow had them thinking for a few hours.

The actress posted a photo of herself and Jewish author Philip Roth with the caption “we’re watching #sharknado.” Needless to say, the picture went viral, convincing many people that spending an evening watching–and Tweeting about–Tara Reid and Ian Ziering combating a tornado of sharks wasn’t a total waste of time.

Alas, The Huffington Post reports, the photo is not an artifact of the most highbrow “Sharknado” viewing party of the evening, but a shot Farrow originally posted on June 1st of the pair having dinner. Farrow has since deleted the misleading message.

The good news is, based on Farrow’s other Tweets, she definitely did see at least some of the movie. Which means she may have DVRed that puppy. Which means Mr. Roth could still swing by for a second screening. Hey, there’s nothing wrong with dreaming, right?
