To the Editor:
I was a member of Tulane University Hillel (known as Hillel of New Orleans) from 1975 to 1977. In those days we had a very active Hillel with plenty of programming and many of the campus’ Jewish students participating.
I was sorry to hear that Hillel apparently had fallen on bad times, since that was so different from my experience. No doubt things have changed since my time there, as described by Rabbi Schiller’s article. It is very encouraging to know that the organization that I loved when I was a student there is thriving again, and I know that Rabbi Schiller and the students deserve all the credit for this.
Thank you for bringing back some memories
