Shannen Doherty, better known as Brenda Walsh in the 90s hit teen drama “Beverly Hills, 90210,” announced on Twitter that she will be going to Israel:
Heading to Israel next week, so excited!!!
— Shannen Doherty (@DohertyShannen) August 31, 2012
The tweet received a lot of negative responses from pro-Palestinians and BDS (boycotts, divestments and sanctions) supporters:
Excited about apartheid and oppression of Palestinians! Nice! RT

But it also drew many supportive tweets, including this heavy “90210” referenced one:
Donna Martin graduates? Brenda Walsh in Israel! sizedoesntmatter.com/tourism/90210%…

However, the efforts by Anti-Israel tweeps did not work. Doherty did reply, but unlike Roseanne, she did not reply personally to the activists, but rather posted these two non-passive aggressive tweets:
Judging others is simply wrong. No one knows another’s true situation. If it aint your business, stay out of it. Thought of the day <3 — Shannen Doherty (@DohertyShannen) August 31, 2012
Lol ok political activist… Try not judging and realizing that other cultures and the study of them, provides insight — Shannen Doherty (@DohertyShannen) September 1, 2012
But eventually she did add some spice to her response to the haters:
I’m also possibly going to Russia in a few weeks so prepare now for your angle on that trip…

We will have updates throughout the week when Doherty tweets from the Holy Land.
