On Tuesday the Republican convention was all about business and individual enterprise. On Wednesday, foreign policy was brought into the mix.

Israel got brief mentions from John McCain (who said the country faced an "existential threat") and Condoleezza Rice. Both mentioned Israel in arguing that the Obama administration had failed to lead on the global stage and had left allies feeling like they can’t rely on the U.S.

But the issue of Israel really claimed center stage with a minute-and-a-half video highlighting Romney’s visit to the Jewish state:
