We’ve gotten used to Woody Allen movies that feature Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson, set in romantic Europe with overarching themes of love, life death and literature.
So it comes as a curveball that his upcoming film, which is still untitled, is being filmed this summer in New York and San Francisco. (Allen hasn’t made a film in San Francisco since his first as director in 1969, Take the Money and Run).
The out-of-the-ordinary cast includes comedian Louis C.K. , Cate Blanchett, Andrew Dice Clay, Alec Baldwin and Lost star Michael Emerson.
Is it possible that with Woody Allen’s complaining, combined with Louis C.K.’s sarcasm and Alec Baldwin’s temper, the world may explode.
