According to Deadline, Warner Bros is in talks with the three and Leslie Mann to star in “This Is Where I Leave You,” an adaptation of a Jonathan Tropper comic novel. It is about “four siblings who come home to sit ‘shiva’ for their deceased father. They are trapped in the house for seven days, and all the skeletons are bared.”
It will be directed by Adam Shankman, who directed Zac Efron in “Hairspray.” Efron is half Jewish, and is known for his role in “High School Musical.” Hawn is known as “Private Benjamin” and is now in talks to star in her own HBO show. Jason Bateman is known for his role in “Arrested Development” and Leslie Mann is the wife of Judd Apatow and also starred in “Knocked Up.”
Production is intended to start early September.
