“Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane just tweeted a photo of an Emmy “for your consideration” ad for his hit animated show, and it is not surprising that according to him it is an ad “the trades refused to run.” The ad shows show main character Peter Griffin with the writing “Come on you bloated, overprivileged Brentwood (an L.A. district) Jews. Let us into your little club.”

The ad, which asks Emmy voters to consider “Family Guy” as a nominee in the Outstanding Comedy Series for the first time (it has been nominated and a recipient of other awards).

According to Screencrush, MacFarlane mailed the ad out to Emmy voters this weekend, with another ad that reads “It’s a secret ballot. You can still tell people you voted for ‘Modern Family.’”

It is necessary to add that in the show, Peter Griffin does make occasional anti-Semetic comments, despite his wife Lois’ Jewish background.

So what do you think, is the ad too offensive?Family Guy
