The L.A. Jewish Journal caught up with Sheldon Adelson at TribeFest, theJewish Federations of North America’s second annual three-day leadership and networking retreat for the 22-45 set. (It was held at his casino, The Venetian.)

Adelson weighed in on the leading GOP candidates (turns out he’s a "social liberal" and "pro-choice"). The short version: Santorum is a nice guy, but he’s too right-wing on social issues and has no executive experience. Romney is too cautious and always trying to avoid creating a paper trail, like that fellow from Illinois. Newt Gingrich — now there’s a bold leader. Only one problem… it appears that he’s at the end of his line.
