We’re a few weeks into the new television season, which can only mean one thing — it’s time for the networks to start cutting under-performing shows.
This means that Hank Azaria is out of at least one job. (His gig on The Simpsons is also not secure.) His new NBC comedy, Free Agents, has just been axed by the network. [EOnline]
I think it’s fitting that this sort of judgment happens on the eve of Yom Kippur as Jews around the world think about their non-entertainment industry fates.
I’d like to imagine that the many Jewish producers, actors, writer and directors around Hollywood are chanting a variation on these verses:
Who by full-season pickup?
Who by midseason replacement?
Who by cancellation after two weeks?
