The New York-based pop dance band Holy Ghost! has released a new video for its track “Hold My Breath,” which forgoes traditional live action footage and uses a fast slideshow of photos dating back to band members’ childhoods.

In the case of band member Alex Frankel, this means that some of his Jewish coming of age moments are documented, including his bar mitzvah and Hanukkah candle lightings.

“There were no trepidations about exposing our personal lives with this video,” Alex Frankel told Rollingstone. “We literally handed over the archives in all their humiliating and sentimental glory.”

The band, which is comprised of Frankel and his childhood friend, Nick Millhiser, has opened for LCD Soundsystem.

Check out the video and watch a Jewish childhood fly past your very eyes over at Rollingstone‘s website.
