Just this week, the first photos of a post-pregnancy Natalie Portman were spread across the interwebs (though she left little Aleph at home with her ballet dancer baby daddy, Benjamin Millepied), which means it’s now time to start speculating about her next career move.
According to People, Portman has been offered the lead in the independent film, Adaline. Her role, if she chooses to accept it, would have her playing a woman who hasn’t aged a day since surviving an accident.
Katherine Heigl had originally been attached to play Adaline with the peerless Angela Lansbury to play her daughter, but the former withdrew from the film.
If Portman takes the role, she will play Lansbury’s mother in the film.
