With "X-Men: First Class" about to open, it’s almost time to revist the connection between the mutant comic series and post-Holocaust theology battles in the Jewish community (here and here).
For now, I’m just wondering, am I the only one who thinks that "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is essentially the same movie as "Defiance," the Daniel Craig flick on the Bielski brothers?
Lead character sees parental figure murdered, revenge impulses turn him into an animal, then he tries to find honor/morality in his fight for survival and rescues a bunch of kids from genocidal maniac, all the while having to deal with an increasingly amoral/violent brother played by Liev Schreiber.
