To the Editor:
Perhaps the JTA could adopt a new lexicon when writing about Israelis living in the West Bank. Rather than the inflammatory and negative connotation of "settler," how about Israeli? And the communities they live in, settlements, could and should be identified as Jewish communities.
After all, wasn’t it an Israeli who was the subject of this article? Why continue to use the same words thrown at Israel by its enemies?
