It’s a federal holiday here, so I’m technically parenting. But I’ve been dipping in to today’s political shocker — Ehud Barak’s resignation from the Labor Party — and here’s what I recommend so far:
–Dimi Reider at 972 for an as-it-happens run-down. (You know, years ago, way before the internet — in 1989 — I named my column in a shortlived Israeli paper "972". No one ever understood why then, and now its meaning common knowledge. That’s the information revolution for ya.)
–Shmuel Rosner at the Jerusalem Post for likely winners and losers.
–Josh Marshall at Talking Points Memo for the historical big picture.
