JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli soldier was stabbed in the neck while inspecting an Arab bus at a checkpoint in eastern Jerusalem.
A passenger stood and attacked the soldier Monday as he made a routine check of the bus.
The soldier was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem with the knife still stuck in his throat, according to reports.
The attacker, a 16-year-old Palestinian, was held for questioning.
