JERUSALEM (JTA) — Palestinian gunmen fired on Israeli soldiers patrolling the border with Gaza.
The gunmen attacked the troops Thursday morning, just hours after a rocket launched from Gaza landed in the western Negev.
There were no injuries or damage in either attack, according to reports.
The incidents come following similar incidents early in the week. On Sunday, two Palestinians were killed while planting explosives near the Gaza border fence, and on Monday Palestinians fired on workers from the Defense Ministry doing infrastructure work near the border. Kassam rockets were fired from Gaza at Israel on Saturday night.
