NEW YORK (JTA) — The Covenant Foundation is now accepting nominees for its 2010 awards for innovative Jewish educators.
Awardees receive $36,000 each, as well as $5,000 for their institutions or organizations.
Nominations for the annual awards, given by the Crown Family Foundation, are due by Nov. 19. More information is available at www.covenantfn.org/awards.
The 2009 awardees, named in May, include Erica Brown, scholar-in-residence at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and director of adult education at the Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning; Rabbi Stuart Seltzer, dean of Judaic studies at the Shoshana S. Cardin School in Baltimore; and Nili Simhai, director of the Teva Learning Center in New York.
