JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel’s Health Ministry identified a strain of swine flu that is resistant to the Tamiflu drug.
The strain was identified in a sample taken from a high-risk Israeli swine flu patient who recovered from the virus.
Tamiflu-resistant HIN1 virus strains have been found in other areas of the world.
Another drug, Relenza, also is used to treat the swine flu.
