NEW YORK (JTA) — A planeload of 238 immigrants from North America arrived in Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benajamin Netanyahu greeted the new arrivals at Ben Gurion Airport on Tuesday, urging them to help make Israel the most advanced country in the world, the Jerusalem Post reported.
The new immigrants, from across the religious spectrum, included 55 young singles slated to join the Israeli military in the coming weeks.
Nefesh B’Nefesh, a North American aliyah group, organized the flight.
