(JTA) — Three Lebanese family members were arrested Friday on suspicion of spying for Israel.
The trio – a man, his wife and his brother – were picked up from their homes in Ghaziyeh, a town near the southern Lebanese port city of Sidon, according to The Associated Press.
Lebanese security officials said they made the arrests after obtaining information from Adib Alam, the former Lebanese general charged last month – along with his wife and nephew – with spying for Israel.
Israeli officials have refused to comment on the arrests, AP reported.
