JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli teen convicted of drug smuggling was sentenced to eight years in jail in Japan.
The Israeli, who was a minor at the time of April 2008 crime, was one of three yeshiva students arrested carrying suitcases into Japan containing 90,000 Ecstasy pills.
The other two Israeli Satmar Chasidim are awaiting trial.
