JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel’s National Employment Service bureau reported its highest recorded monthly job losses.
More than 20,000 Israelis lost their jobs in March, according to reports. Some 11,800 had lost their jobs in March 2008.
The previous record jobs lost was 19,700 in January this year.
Unemployment figures will be released after Passover.
