JERUSALEM (JTA) — The peace process is in jeopardy, Middle East envoy Tony Blair warned.
The long hiatus due to Israel’s elections and the change in U.S. administration harmed its momentum, Blair said in Brussels at a news conference following talks at European Union headquarters. He said the next six months will be crucial to see in which direction the process will move.
"The alternative to a two-state solution is a one-state solution. If there is a one-state solution, there is going to be a big fight," said Blair, Middle East envoy for the Quartet of Middle East peace negotiators — the United States, the European Union, Russia and the United Nations.
