JERUSALEM (JTA) — A documentary about the lives of Gaza and Sderot residents was nominated for an International Emmy.

The Internet documentary "Gaza-Sderot, Life in Spite of Everything," a joint French, Israeli and Palestinian production, was nominated in the digital media category and will compete against projects produced by Al-Jazeera, the BBC and the Discovery Channel, Ynet reported.

The series of two-minute films documents the lives of Gaza and Sderot residents by following six people from the two areas. They are being shown on the European ARTE television network’s Web site.

The series was filmed before the start of Israel’s Gaza military offensive in December. The producers in the next two weeks plan to add footage of Gaza since the offensive, according to Ynet.
