JERUSALEM (JTA) — Smuggling has resumed in some tunnels between Gaza and Egypt, according to reports.
Some tunnels in the Rafah area remained undamaged after Israel’s three-week operation in Gaza, according to an article in Ynet that quoted other news services.
Residents told reporters that they saw fuel and kerosene heaters coming up from two separate tunnels.
AP Television News broadcast footage showing Palestinian smugglers filling a fuel truck with gas after it came through a tunnel from Egypt. The footage also showed workers and bulldozers clearing blocked tunnels.
