Hungarian police are investigating an act of vandalism against a synagogue in the country’s third largest city.
Vandals broke the windows of a synagogue in Debrecen on Nov. 9. The synagogue’s rabbi, Asher Ehrenfeld, took note that the vandalism occurred on the 70th anniversary of Kristallnacht.
“I do not want to look for connections," Ehrenfeld was quoted as saying by the local media, "but one could not overlook the fact that the attack has happened on Kristallnacht."
