Israeli forces killed the Hamas terrorist who planned February’s double suicide bombing in Dimona.
Troops surrounded the hideout of a 25-year-old Hamas leader in the West Bank city of Hebron early Sunday and called on him to surrender. He refused and was killed in the ensuing clash.
Security sources said the slain terrorist had dispatched the two Hamas suicide bombers who struck in the southern Israeli town of Dimona on Feb. 4, killing a local woman.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, in broadcast remarks to his Cabinet, praised the “successful operation” in Hebron. Hamas vowed revenge.
