Two bombs exploded in the Gaza Strip, one outside a cafe frequented by Christians.

The bomb outside the Gaza City cafe killed the bomber, according to spokesmen for Gaza’s Hamas-led government. The man was affiliated with al-Qaeda, they said. There have been a number of attacks in recent months on Gaza’s tiny Christian minority.

Another bomb went off outside the home of a prominent Hamas politician; no one was injured.

Hamas, the terrorist group that controls Gaza, blamed that attack on Fatah, the relatively moderate group Hamas ousted from Gaza in June 2007 and which currently runs the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. Fatah denied the claim.
