The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration found severe flaws in Israel’s aviation safety record.
The FAA officials reviewed their findings this week with their Israeli counterparts, Ha’aretz reported. The FAA review this week comports with an Israeli review last year that found that traffic over Ben-Gurion International Airport, near Tel Aviv, was overcrowded and that some air traffic controllers were not adequately trained.
The FAA findings, to be published within the next 90 days, could reduce the number of U.S. flights to Israel.
