An Israeli woman was wounded after Palestinians in Gaza hit Israel with dozens of mortar shells and Kassam rockets.
The woman was hit Thursday afternoon, as Hamas terrorists bombarded Israel, calling it a response to an explosion earlier in the day that killed three and injured 40 in Gaza’s Beit Lahiya area.
An apparent longer-range Grad missile also landed near Ashkelon. One mortar landed in Gaza near the Erez crossing. Magen David Adom paramedics who asked to assist a Palestinian wounded in the attack were denied permission, Y-Net reported.
Hamas accused the IDF of launching an air strike on Beit Lahiya, but in a statement the IDF denied conducting any activity in the area and said it was not responsible for the explosion. Military officials say the explosion was likely caused by Palestinian terrorists building bombs, according to Israeli media reports.
