A former Israeli border policeman was jailed for killing a Palestinian teenager in the West Bank.
Yanai Lalza was sentenced Monday to 6 1/2 years in prison in Jerusalem District Court after he confessed to detaining a 17-year-old Hebron resident in 2002 and throwing him out of a moving Jeep. The Palestinian sustained fatal head wounds in the incident.
Under a plea bargain, Lalza also confessed to theft and obstruction of justice.
Three other former border policemen suspected of involvement in the killing are being tried separately.
