The U.S. secretary of the Navy made a three-day working visit to Israel.
Dr. Donald C. Winter came to Israel this week as a guest of Defense Minister Ehud Barak. He visited Israeli naval bases and Yad Vashem, and held high-level strategic discussions.
The Defense Ministry said it was Winter’s first visit to Israel as Secretary of the Navy. He previously visited in 1998, as a member of a delegation of senior U.S. military industry personnel.
Winter arrived on Sunday and wrapped up his visit on Wednesday.
