Israel asked the United States to remove it from an intellectual property watch list.

In a statement to the U.S. Trade Representative earlier this month, Israel described its practices as “adequate, effective, in conformance with all relevant international obligations.”

The USTR placed Israel on its “priority watch list” after lobbying last year by the pharmaceutical industry, which objects to generic drugs manufactured in Israel.
